Whatever needs to be done should be done beforehand.
Every individual faces challenging moments in life, but those who choose to overcome obstacles often find their lives shining bright. Priyanka Kshirsagar, an 18-year-old student, is a testament to this spirit of perseverance. The role of our Balbhavan has been crucial in her journey, turning her life around for the better.
Priyanka's journey began when her parents registered her at our Balbhavan while she was in the third grade. At that time, she struggled significantly with her speech, managing to utter only a few words. Consequently, she could barely complete her education up to the seventh grade as other students began to bully her, leading her to quit school entirely.
However, her parents unwaveringly supported her. They facilitated her treatment at our civil hospital for seven to eight years. Thanks to that support, Priyanka began learning to speak over the past year. Our Balbhavan team reignited her enthusiasm for education, encouraging her to express, "I want to get admitted again; I will go back to school."
Due to her age and educational gap, some schools denied her admission. However, Bhingar High School recognised her potential and welcomed her. With the assistance of Balbhavan and the support of the school, her dream finally came true. Watching her face glow with satisfaction and joy offers a true definition of her success.
Priyanka's family faced financial struggles; her father was not working, and her mother managed the household by working for others. With two brothers and a sister, Priyanka found support in her siblings, as both her brothers were also involved with Balbhavan. For the past six months, Priyanka has been consistently attending the center, and her parents have become an integral part of her journey towards education.
When she received admission to school, her parents couldn't hold back their tears of joy. Priyanka states, "I want to grow up, learn and prove myself." Her determination and confidence have provided her with a new direction in life.
