Inspired by legacy

From 21–27 January 2026, Snehalaya students and teachers embarked on a truly enriching exposure visit to The Scindia School, Gwalior—an institution celebrated for its timeless legacy of excellence and holistic education.

Set against the magnificent historical backdrop of Gwalior Fort, the visit beautifully showcased how academics, discipline, leadership, sports, arts, and strong moral values come together to shape confident and responsible individuals. It was not just a school visit, but a living experience of how education can inspire character, vision, and purpose.

The journey became even more meaningful with the presence of Mr Rajiv Kumar Singh, Founder Member of Snehalaya and a proud alumnus of The Scindia School. His deep connection with the institution added pride, emotion, and inspiration for everyone in the group, making the experience more personal and memorable.

This bond between the two institutions has been nurtured over time. Previously, Scindia students visited Snehalaya twice for their labour camp experience, where they closely observed Snehalaya’s projects and connected with the community. This beautiful exchange of learning and values has created a lasting relationship based on mutual respect and inspiration.

During the visit to Gwalior, the Snehalaya team participated in classroom observations, cultural interactions, meditation sessions, and Republic Day celebrations where the team were able to interact with 'The Old Boys', former students of the school. Each moment offered valuable insights into quality education, discipline, and leadership development in action.

A highlight of the trip was the visit to the grand Jai Vilas Palace, one of India’s most historic and magnificent palaces, where students witnessed royal heritage and architectural brilliance firsthand. The team also visited the serene Gurudwara situated on the Gwalior Fort, experiencing peace, spirituality, and reflection amidst rich history.

Every experience during this visit contributed to deeper learning, cultural appreciation, and a broader vision of education beyond classrooms.

This journey was far more than an educational tour—it was a transformative experience and a spark of inspiration. Snehalaya returns with fresh ideas, renewed motivation, and a visionary outlook to implement positive practices within its own school community.
