Dr Jayant Kulkarni
Dr Jayant Kulkarni was educated at Samarth Vidya Prasarak Mandal, Ahmednagar Education Society and Hind Seva Mandal in Ahmednagar. He started Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad while a student in our city. As a full-time worker of ABVP, he did remarkable work in Goa and taught in engineering colleges in Pune and Hyderabad for two decades, after which he established Vigyan Bharati Institute of Technology, (VBIT) in Telangana. He was the organizer, speaker and thinker to promote and spread the ideas of Veer Savarkar at Savarkar Sammelan, Andaman and established Pratibha Sangam Sahitya Sammelan for students and youths.
We welcomed him back to his home town, and our Founder, Dr Girish Kulkarni, honoured him on behalf of Snehalaya for his remarkable achievements. Accepting the honour, Dr Jayant spoke about the roles and responsibilities of Prabodhini and mentioned social organisations and movements that have been working imaginatively on many subjects for decades. The primary objective of his work is to try to make constructive experiments and experience through government with Prabodhini taking the initiative in training, awareness and communication.
Lastly he said that efforts will be made to work together with all elements of society to make the social and economic condition of the country more favorable to the development process.
