Twenty years ago, Snehalaya started giving people living with HIV/AIDS (PLHA) dignity through medical treatment and palliative care in a small makeshift construction of bamboo and corrugated iron. Since then we have been dedicated to providing quality medical treatment and healthcare in or 20-bed hospital, at affordable prices, to the most vulnerable members of our society without discrimination.
Fulfilling this mission has never been straightforward as we lacked adequate resources and equipment to treat those requiring specialised care. With the support of many dedicated individual and corporate supporters we are pleased to announce the opening of India’s first hospital dedicated to the care and treatment of PLHA with 50 beds, surgical and laboratory facilities.
