Universal Human Rights Day

Updated: Jan 4, 2022

On 10 December 2021, to mark Universal Human Rights Day, our founder Dr Girish Kulkarni, was interviewed for the AuroVivek India-75 YouTube channel as part of the Swatantra Bharat 75 which is: "A series of expert talks by eminent people from all walks of life who have done remarkable work in decoding the genius of India for us and for the key to the crisis of the humanity. Thus it is trying to understand the genius of India through the vision of her greatest sons especially Swami Vivekananda and Sri Aurobindo, and having firm conviction that we do not belong to the dawns of the yesteryears but to the noons of tomorrow."

They appreciated Girish for : "his tireless work for equal rights, dignified life and education to sex workers, children of sex workers, and fight against human trafficking, poverty, HIV AIDS, discrimination for LGBT is immensely touching and inspiring. Many of us have heard, and at times in the process of our ordinary life have seen from a distance red light areas, for a moment we are touched and shaken by the plight, inhuman existence of human beings and esp. children there, and yet we forget or prefer to overlook it after a while.

"Dr Girish Kulkarni is a rare person, accurate and straightforward to his feeling of pity and empathy. He converted this moment of compassion and kindness to his life mission and dedicated his life to this cause. Inspired by the thoughts of Swami Vivekananda and many other social reformers and thought leaders from his early age, he quotes Swamiji in this video, saying that authentic worship is that of serving human beings. Serve man serve God. "We are the servants of that God who by the ignorant is called MAN."

"Hats off to this passion and conviction, which was converted to a plan of action and a challenging mission."
