Snehalaya Child Development Center Launches ‘Gola Guide’ Initiative with Great Enthusiasm
A New Path for Student Future-Building
The ‘Gola Guide’ initiative, launched by Snehalaya Child Development Center, was inaugurated with great enthusiasm, marking a significant step towards social service and youth mentorship. This program is designed to provide long-term, meaningful guidance, emotional support, and inspiration to students, especially those in need.
Based on the theme “Nate...Preranaadayi Maitricha” (“Relationships... Inspirational Friendships”), the ‘Gola Guide’ initiative aims to create a personal mentorship platform where motivated volunteers and students can connect for constructive development.
This unique initiative emphasizes four core components, represented by the acronym G-O-A-L:
Guide: Mentoring and guiding students
Observe: Understanding and assessing their needs
Assist: Providing help and support
Lead: Inspiring leadership qualities in students
Volunteer mentors will serve as personal guides, motivators, and helpers for deserving students, fostering their overall growth and confidence.
Inauguration Ceremony
The program commenced with a traditional Saraswati Puja. Rajiv Gujar, Trustee of Snehalaya, and Hanif Sheikh, Director of the Non-Resident Department, explained the vision behind the initiative in detail. They emphasized the importance of community participation in nurturing the future generation.
The event was graced by distinguished guests including Shweta Gandhi, Leena Mutha, Smita Banthia, Gunali Mutha, and Vashali Chopra, Honorary Director of Child Development. Volunteers addressed students’ questions and clarifications during the program.
Participation and Future Plans
A total of 50 enthusiastic students registered for the program. The initiative invites young individuals interested in education, social service, and career guidance—who are empathetic, understanding, and inspiring—to become volunteers.
In the initial phase, 40 students from the Child Development Center will receive personalized mentorship. Rajiv Gujar, a parent and supporter of the program, called upon society’s sensitive citizens to contribute their time and efforts to this noble cause.

A Journey Towards Holistic Growth
‘Gola Guide’ is more than just a program; it is a compassionate and impactful journey aimed at the comprehensive development of students. The initiative aspires to create positive societal change, bringing hope and a brighter future for young learners.
This inspiring endeavor promises to be a beacon of support and empowerment for students, fostering a cycle of kindness, mentorship, and societal betterment.

I think mentorship initiatives like this can make a real difference for students. When I was in school, I remember how much I benefited from having someone to guide me, not just academically but with life advice too. Activities and interactions outside the classroom, like joining group games—Slope Game was a favorite among my friends—also helped us bond and learn teamwork. I highly encourage others to volunteer for such meaningful programs.
