The Inspirational Feat of our Balbhavan Students

At Snehalaya, we believe that every child deserves a chance—no matter where they come from. And once again, the students from our Balbhavan project have proven that given the right support and opportunities, children from even the most marginalized backgrounds can achieve extraordinary things.
Breaking Barriers with Education
In the face of poverty, instability and difficult circumstances, our students have shown incredible determination. This academic year, they made us proud with their exceptional performance in the SSC (10th) and HSC (12th) board examinations.
The 10th-grade (SSC) results stood at an inspiring 72.31%, with 43 out of 69 students passing.
In the 12th-grade (HSC) board exams, 24 out of 34 students succeeded, recording a strong 70.58% result.
What makes these results more than just numbers is the stories behind them—of children who once worked as laborers, were denied access to schools, or grew up in unstable homes. Today, these very children are walking confidently towards a brighter future.
Our Toppers
Among the many success stories this year, a few names stood out:
Sheikh from Malala Balbhavan, topped the SSC exams with an outstanding 81.20%.
Suhana of Urja Balbhavan followed with 70%, securing the second rank.
Gauravi, representing Kalam Balbhavan, claimed third place with 69.80%.

These young achievers are not just academic toppers—they’re symbols of courage, discipline and resilience. To honour their success, we hosted a grand felicitation ceremony at Rahemat Sultan Hall, where students were celebrated with sweets, educational materials and, most importantly, words of encouragement that will stay with them for a lifetime.
Inspiring Words, Lasting Impact
The event was graced by several inspiring personalities:
Dr Mahesh Mule engaged the students with stories of Warren Buffet and Mark Zuckerberg, emphasizing the importance of developing professional skills and a strong personality.
Dr Ameya Kamble urged students to “read books, learn new skills, and walk the path of perfection.”
Professor Veena Kurhade delivered a powerful reminder: “The opportunity Balbhavan has given you can change your life. Don’t let it go to waste.”
Professor Mohsin Shaikh from Vishwabharati Academy conducted a session on career opportunities in engineering, helping students envision future possibilities.

We were honoured by the presence of Professors Veena Kurhade and Mohsin Shaikh, Drs Mahesh Mule and Ameya Kamble, Bapu Joshi Sir, social worker Sameer Zakir Shaikh, our honorary director Vaishali Chopda, and Shabana Shaikh, coordinator of Sakhi Saint. Their kind words and blessings added warmth to the occasion.
This celebration was not just about marks or medals. It was about showing our children that they matter, that their dreams are valid, and that a better life is within reach. It reminded us that with the right guidance and support, the children of Snehalaya can—and will—build a future that’s full of dignity, purpose and hope.
