World Love

At the start of March, we welcomed World Love Global to our Rehab Center to run craft-making workshops for our women and girls. Over the course of three days they made a beautiful range of products that the World Love team have taken back to the US for sale at an exhibition.

World Love Global is based in Arizona, USA and finds ways to teach women some skills that they could use to make money in a healthy way and to give them self-confidence and courage to overcome the challenges of social and economic disparities and lack of education. They work with organisations in South Africa, Cambodia and India and this was their first visit to Snehalaya.

The team included founder, Maggie Hoffman, her daughter Sydney, Leena from Sweden and another friend from Delhi. They spent their time in our arts studio showing our women and girls new designs and made many gift tags focused on positive mental health with motivational sayings.

The team have promised to return and left many materials that our beneficiaries will be using in the upcoming school holidays. These will then be sent to America to be sold and 100% of the profits made will be added to the artists savings accounts to support them in their futures beyond Snehalaya.

You can read more about World Love Global here and an article on founder, Maggie here.
