The Arrival of the Inspirational Light at Snehalaya

In the city of Ahilyanagar, a significant event took place that marks a new chapter in the journey of promoting peace, harmony and universal brotherhood. The “Sadbhavana Jyoti” (Spirit of Harmony Lamp), which was lit at Rajghat, has now arrived at Snehalaya Rehabilitation Complex to continue its inspiring journey.
The Sadbhavana Jyoti was initiated from Rajghat, the solemn memorial of Mahatma Gandhi in Delhi, where an eternal flame of inspiration burns. This flame symbolizes the enduring spirit of non-violence, truth and harmony that Gandhiji championed. The torch was lit by Yogeshbhai Mathuria, a dedicated social worker and leader of the initiative, along with his colleagues, symbolizing the start of a journey dedicated to spreading messages of peace across the world.
Yogeshbhai Mathuria, a committed advocate of non-violence and brotherhood, has been tirelessly leading efforts to propagate the teachings of revered personalities such as Lord Buddha, Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, Lord Mahavir and other great prophets and messengers of peace. Through continuous marches and outreach programs, he has been bringing their inspiring messages to people in over 50 countries spanning all continents.
The journey of the Sadbhavana Jyoti is not just symbolic but also deeply spiritual. It was ceremoniously ignited at the Rave Kusum Ashram, located in Taluka Purandar, Pune district, established by Yogeshbhai himself, emphasizing peace, harmony, and non-violence. From there, the flame traveled to Delhi and was brought to Snehalaya, where it will serve as a beacon of hope and unity.
The arrival of the Jyoti at Snehalaya was marked by a special event scheduled on 6 March as the Jyoti was welcomed at the Raveindra Nath Tagore Hall within our Rehabilitation Complex. The program includes a prayer for peace and harmony, organized by various social organizations, to honor the significance of this luminous symbol.
The lamp's journey culminated on 9 May at Rave Kusum Ashram in Taluka Purandar, Pune, where it was permanently consecrated by renowned social workers Jayeshbhai Patel, Sudhirbhai Goyal, and Ajay Pandey. This event aims to embed the spirit of harmony and non-violence into the community, inspiring generations to come.
This initiative underscores the timeless importance of spreading messages of peace, unity, and brotherhood across borders and communities. The Sadbhavana Jyoti serves as a shining reminder that compassion and understanding can light the way toward a more harmonious world. Let us all join in celebrating this noble journey, inspiring hope and peace in our hearts and communities.
